The complete Persepolis

this book is about this girl named Marjane she grew up in Iran with her mother and father. When she was about 14 years old she had to move Austria all by her self. There she met  a lot of new people. And made new friends. When she was 18 she went back to Iran because she felt lost in Austria she felt she didn’t belong there with any one. When she went back to Austria  her  parents took her home with them. The first thing she did was going into her room. There she had a nostalgic moment. Later on she got married to rezza. She realize then spthat he wasn’t for her later on in their relationship so they got divorced.  At the end she decided to go back to Austria. Overall I love this book  especially because it was a graphic novel and i love graphic novels because they are easier for me to understand. you could relate to it in so many different ways.  I do recommend this book if you like graphic novels that so much meaning to it.

My favorite quotes

We all know that sometimes we might feel bad and need something to make us feel better.  So that’s why I always like to take my time to myself and read some inspirational quotes to make me feel better.  This are 3 of my favorite quotes.

I like this quote because I do agree with it because maybe you said or did something hurtful to someone and you ask to your “why did that what if I could change what I said to that person” you really can’t change what you said because you’ve already said and maybe hurt someone and there is nothing you could do about it. Only to apologize to them

comparison book to movie the “Outsiders”

Similarities and differences from the book to the movie

Both book and movie have similarities and differences.  some similarities from both the book and movie the “Outsiders” were. When the greasers went to the to the movies and they started bothering Sherri and Marcia. When ponyboy introduces himself to Sherri. Talking about Sherrie a similarity that I found in both the movie and the book was that Sherrie was fake. She told ponyboy that she didn't want to talk to him in school.when ponyboy in the movie said nothing “gold can stay” the poem was also in the book in chapter 5 pg 77 that also happens in the book.  However both book and movie have differences as well. Some differences that I found in the movie and in the book “ The outsiders” was that in the book it started out differently than from the movie. In the book it started out when the socs cut darrys hair.  the movie started out when the greasers when to drive in (the movies) when in the book we had to wait like 3 chapters. In the book Darry was introduced better in the movie they showed Darry mean to his brother right away. In the book The Socs are from the west part of town and the Greasers are from the east. In the movie the Socs are from the South side and the Greasers are from the North. Overall both book and movie have similarities and differences.

The author made a great job in the movie describing some of the scenes in the book to the movie. For example when the outsiders went to the movies the scene were really similar and they said similar things. Overall I think that both the actors and directors did a great job in the movie.

Making connections/Outsiders

The poem that I chose for making connections to the outsiders was “ IF”. I feel that the poem IF makes a good connections to the outsiders because I think that the overall theme in other words message of the poem is that you decide who you want to be. No one else makes you only you. Just like the outsiders they decided to take the bad path no one made them decide. They did.

Always room for improvement

Yes, the title says it all. There will always be room for improvement. First quearter was a little bit tough since we came back from a long summer break. To be honest sometimes I didn’t even try or do my homework sometimes. For 2 quearter which is half of the semester.    I made a goal. I told my self to try harder for 2 queater. For example I could improve my grades and my attitude tours the things I need to do like my responsibilities. I will ask for help when I need it. Take notes. And most importantly be aware of what is going on around school or any of my classes. Like what new clubs could I join or what new things I could try. But like I said “There is always room for improvement.”
